#ACS23: AFRICA SHOULD INVEST IN YOUTH
Kenya’s First Lady Rachel Ruto has stressed the need for Africa to invest in its youth and women and equip them with the skills they need to succeed in the green economy and the transition to clean energy.
She has also called for greater collaboration between countries and organisations to address global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
The First Lady made the remarks at the Kenyatta International Convention Center in Nairobi, when she opened a high-level session on education and skills for a green economy at the Africa Climate Summit 2023 .
The session, co-organised by the Education Development Center, the German Government and the Office of the First Lady, brought together govt officials, business leaders and civil society representatives to discuss importance of education & skills development for a sustainable future.
